MassLynx is a mass spectrometry software platform developed by Micromass (now part of Waters Corporation) for instrument control, data acquisition, processing, and reporting. Designed to streamline LC–MS and MS/MS workflows, it supports method setup, automated batch runs, and both qualitative and quantitative analysis across a range of mass analyzers.
The software provides tools for chromatographic peak integration, spectral interpretation, calibration curve creation, and multi-level quantitation, with flexible review and reporting options. Application managers such as TargetLynx, MarkerLynx, and OpenLynx extend its capabilities for targeted quantitation, pattern recognition and metabolomics, and high-throughput screening. MassLynx also offers automated tuning and calibration, lock mass correction for accurate mass measurements, and export to common data formats.
For regulated environments, MassLynx includes user-level security, audit trails, and electronic signatures to support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Its intuitive interface, strong hardware integration, and robust raw data handling have made it a standard choice in pharmaceutical, environmental, food safety, and research laboratories.
